The Walls are Up!!!

July 13th, 2008

Work has begun on our Coalition home. The empty lot with a hole in the ground has been transformed. A new house is rising.

A wonderful team of folks showed up for the first two days. As you can see, the walls and the trusses are in place. This next weekend the roof will be put on and soon it will look like a real home.

Now is the time to make plans to come on out and help. The rallying cry can be “all hands on deck.” Our new homeowner was also on site and smiling from ear to ear.

Check out the rest of the pictures in our picture gallery on Flickr.

Ready. Set. Go!

July 8th, 2008

The deck is on and it appears that the weather will hold. Workers are invited to show up at 11th & Center beginning Friday, July 11. Invite a friend, bring a neighbor, let’s do this in a big way!

Keep the information flowing to others. Gifts and donations are important as we begin this work. Share the story of how this work transforms the lives of those who reside in Habitat homes.

Delayed Start

June 29th, 2008

The weather has worked against all efforts to begin the Build for 2008. The new start date is now set for July11. Habitat is working hard to help Neighbors South complete its build as originally planned.

Round up the volunteers and come on out beginning July 11.
